President Ghani arrives in India

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): At the head of a high-level delegation, President Ashraf Ghani arrived in New Delhi for his one-day visit on Tuesday, the Presidential Palace said.

A statement from Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said India’s defense minister and other high rank authorities welcomed President Ghani in New Delhi Airport today morning.

The source said Ghani would discuss regional issues and mutual interests with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and foreign minister Sushma Swaraj.

According to the statement, President Ghani would also deliver a brief speech in Weavek Anne International Foundation in New Delhi during his visit.

The president was accompanied by Mohammad Hanif Atmar, national security advisor, foreign minister, Salahuddin Rabbani, acting minister of mines and petroleum, Nargis Nehan, presidential office head, Abdul Salam Rahimi and president advisors Ajmal Ahmadi, Farkhunda Zahra Nadri, and Shahzad Akbari, Mohammad Haroon Chakhansori.
