Afghan ‘Mr. Muscles’ becomes world champion

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Afghan bodybuilder Ahmad Yasin Salik Qaderi on Sunday won a gold medal in the 9th Worldinfo-icon Bodybuilding and Physique Sportsinfo-icon Championships (WBPF) in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.

Afghanistaninfo-icon National Olympic Committee spokesman Monawar Shah Shezad said over 400 athletes from 40 countries took part in this year’s week long Ulaanbaatar contests, where Qaderi had won two championships.

Shezad said the Afghan National Bodybuilding team member Qaderi also known as ‘Mr. Muscles of Afghanistan’ won the gold medal in the 90kg bodyweight category and also got the title of the “champion of all champions” in contest among all champions.

Qaderi has recently won the 90kg weight category contest in the 51th Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships in South Korea.
