CEO Abdullah visit to India delayed

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah visit to New Delhi for attending a trade show in India delayed due to rocket attack near Hamid Karzai International Airport on Wednesday.

Accompanied by about 200 Afghan businessmen, the CEO is also scheduled hold talks with Indian leaders on issues including enhanced cooperation in the economic sector.

Cooperation in the carpet industry and establishment of a joint chamber of commerce and industries were also on the agenda, the CEO spokesman said.

Jawid Faisal said Abdullah's visit was aimed to boost Afghanistaninfo-icon-India economic links. The CEO will attend the joint Afghan-India exhibition organised with the help of USAIDinfo-icon.

Abdullah may call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
