213 kids accused of internal, external security crimes

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) on Wednesday said more than 200 children accused of crimes relating to internal and externalinfo-icon security were kept in juvenile detention centers.

A statement from the MoJ, received by Pajhwok Afghan News, said around 800 children, including 82 of them girls, accused of law violations were kept in children’s correction centers.

Most of the children involved in internal and external security crimes were kept in Bagram, Kabul Correction Center and Nangarhar province, the source said.

Theft and murder were two crimes most of the remaining children were suspected or accused of, the statement said.

According to the statement, 213 children have been accused of internal and external security crimes, 162 of theft, 11 of murder and the rest were suspects or convicts in stealing, drug smuggling, sodomy, adultery, traffic accidents and some other cases.
