KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The first flight bringing back home Afghan pilgrims from Saudi Arabia would land at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul on Wednesday, the Ministry of Hajjinfo-icon and Religious Affairs said on Monday.

On September 6, the ministry said in a statement, around 1,000 pilgrims would be brought back home in total three flights and the post-hajj operation would take a month to complete.

Some 30,000 Afghan pilgrims have been flown to Saudi Arabia for the performance of this year’s pilgrimage from airports in Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif, Kandahar and Herat cities.
