5 children of a family electrocuted in Kabul

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Five children of the same family were killed after being caught up in an electrical current in capital Kabul, an official said on Sunday.

The incident took place at about 2am today in Salim Karwan neighborhood in the jurisdiction of the 4th police district of Kabul city.

Mir Hussain Amiri, an area resident, told Pajhwok Afghan News one child was caught up in electrical current and then a second tried to rescue him by touching his body. Subsequently, a third, fourth and a fifth child came to rescue the others, but all were killed.

He said the victims belonged to the same family and were aged between 10 to 14 years. The electrical current also followed a fire eruption that caused some losses to the family.
