MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A huge fire broke out at a fuel depot in the capital of northern Balkh province, causing financial losses, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Sher Jan Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place late Saturday night in the Timoryan area of Mazar-i-Sharif.

He said an oil tanker caught fire that was put out at 4am. The cause of blaze was yet to be known, but an investigation had been launched, he added.
