PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Pakistani citizens stranded in Afghanistaninfo-icon have been allowed to utilise their computerised national identity cards (CNICs) till April 18 for their return home through the Torkham border crossing.

The relaxation is meant for only those Pakistanis who have been stuck in different cities of Afghanistan in connection with their occupations, Frontier Corps officials told local journalists at the Michni check-post on Monday.

Entry into Afghanistan would be allowed on production of Pakistani passport as CNICs as the Rahdari card relaxation had been withdrawn on April 15, the officials explained.

All Pakistanis, particularly local transporters and traders, should immediately apply for passports to avoid impediments to their cross-border movement at Torkham, they said.
