KHOST (Pajhwok): Unidentified men spread night letters, supporting Daesh or so called Islamic State (IS) militants in Sabari district of southeastern Khost province, an official said Sunday.

A local security official, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the letters were spread in Maktab Bazar, Dand Faqiran and Soripan areas of the district.

The source said investigation into the issue was underway to figure out who were involved.

Mohammad Daud, the resident of Sabari district, said, the letters were attached to doors of mosques and shops.

Daesh militants in the night letters said they have plan to launch operation against the government and US forces in Sabari district, he said, adding the letter asked for public support to the rebel group and warned those to punishment who refuse to help.

A copy of the letter is also obtained by Pajhwok. The letter with a black logo on its header is written in six articles in Pashtoinfo-icon language.
