GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and six others wounded in a traffic accident in southern Ghazni province on Kabulinfo-icon-Kandahar highway on Tuesday, an official said.

Mohammadullah Ahmadi, provincial traffic department head, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place on the outskirts of Qarabagh district early this morning.

“A lorry truck collided with a 303 type of passenger bus on Kabul-Kandahar highway,” he said.

Hanif Rezae, third brigade commander of 203rd Tandar Military Corps, confirmed the accident and said army troops evacuated the injured to the hospital.

The injured were in stable condition, he added. Most accidents of this nature happened due to the reckless nature of driving.
