MoU signed to computerize IARCSC affairs
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission (IARCSC) on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology on computerizing the commission’s administrative system.
The MoU was signed between IARCSC acting head Ahmad Mashahid and MCIT Minister Abdul Razaq Wahidi in Kabul. Under the MoU, the commission’s works would be computerized.
Mashahid told a press conference that the use of new technology could play an important role in improving services, reducing corruption and service delivery.
He said it was not possible to fight against corruption without having e-government system. “Computerizing services saves time, minimizes paper work, improves the quality of services and prevents corruption,” he said.
A joint team from both the entities would work on computerizing the commission’s system, MCIT Minister Abdul Razaq Wahidi said.
“The quality of services and administrative affairs of the government are improved by computerizing the system. We will be witness to many positive changes, improved service delivery and reduced corruption in government departments,” he said.
